Warning: as of 2024 this infographic is reasonably dated; notably around the 'neck fix'.

The CATS full body fix is no longer needed ,nor is editing the neck/head bone like pictured.

In addition, VRC has in-game arm-span leg-length calibration adjustments now so unless your model has noodle legs, chances are you should play with that first.
