Because people like to have a selection of animations beyond the default emotes, here's how to add a simple animation menu to your avatar using CVR Avatar Advanced Settings.

Process

  1. Make an otherwise working avatar.
  2. Gather Unity animations you want to use.
  3. Advanced Parameters
  4. Create a new parameter by pressing the + button.
  5. Name the new parameter "Dance".
  6. Change Type to Game Object Dropdown.
  7. Set Generate Type to Generate Int.
  8. Press the under Options.
  9. Name the option None.
  10. For every animation you want to add:
    1. Press the under Options.
    2. Set Name to whatever the dance name should be.
    3. Expand the section using the white triangle.
    4. Use Animation
    5. Drag the dance animation to the Clip box.
  11. Press CreateAnimator[sic].
  12. Press Attach Generated Animator to Overrides
